Chingon Horchata: The Official Scent of Nacho Average Man.

Tired of fragrances that are un-burrito-bly boring? Good. Grit & Wick presents the candle for those who prefer to be caliente without smelling caliente (that's Spanish for hot, but you already knew that, didn't you?).

This isn't your average "cozy" candle. This is the Chingon Horchata—a scent so complex and suave, it refuses to be categorized. We took a familiar comfort and gave it an un-taco-ble upgrade.

Scent Profile: Prove You Have Taste

Forget the flimsy stuff. This masterful blend is a taco 'bout town—a perfect contradiction of spice and clean discipline.

  • Forget the fluff. This is the sharp, crisp blast of talc and soap. It ensures the candle smells like discipline and a fresh start, not a messy kitchen.

  • The core—rich, warm, and spicy cinnamon-vanilla complexity. This is your refined indulgence; it's subtle, smooth, and zero percent fruit.

  • The anchor. A deep, dry, and worn leather that reminds you of tradition and things that last.

Why Your Current Candles Are Now Obsolete

Light Chingon Horchata when your living space needs to stop apologizing for its existence. It’s for the person who values complexity over cheap sugar and prefers smelling like a seasoned traveler over a lost teenager.

The sophisticated kick of spice in this candle is so strong, we heard Chuck Norris uses it to tenderize his steaks before a roundhouse kick.

Stop buying scents that smell like regret. Upgrade your nose.

Grit & Wick: Finally, a scent for the complex, slightly terrifying adult you truly are. You're gonna want a piece of this!

CARE & MAINTENANCE

These aren't your average fruity candles—treat them with the respect they deserve to ensure a long life and maximum throw.

General Maintenance & Safety (The Rules)

  • The First Burn: This is the most crucial step. When you first light your candle, allow the entire top surface of wax to melt completely to the edges of the container. This usually takes 2-4 hours, depending on the size. This prevents "tunneling" (where the wick burns straight down the middle) and ensures the candle burns evenly for its lifetime.
  • Wick Trimming (The Must-Do): Before every single burn, trim the wick to 1/4 INCH (about 6 mm). Use a wick trimmer or nail clippers. A long wick causes mushrooming, black smoke, and fast burning.
  • Burn Time Limit: Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Burning longer overheats the container and burns off the fragrance oil too quickly.
  • Stop Point: Discontinue use when only 1/2 INCH (1.2 cm) of wax remains at the bottom. Burning past this point can lead to the glass overheating or cracking.
  • Placement: Always burn your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, children, pets, and flammable materials (like curtains or papers).
